The Valentine One radar detector is the best on the market. I have read and seen many articles, and used a few radar detectors in my freinds cars, but this is the best. Simply, this device shows you where the radar is comming from, how many radar are being detected, the radar band being used, and the strength of the radar. It also detects laser, which is not used that much, but if you get hit with laser, it will not matter if you detect it because your speed will be instantly detected, but using laser is harder because you have to point it directly at the car you want. The downpart of this item is that it costs $405 with shipping and it does not ship to outside of the US. Also, I had an Explorer with 5% tint on the back 5 windows and the performance of the radar did not go down, so I do not think tinted windows hinder the performance a lot.
