Hello; I have had TT’s for years, I bought an Oracle 2 on Ebay and it was packed well; as I had paid well for shipping. Always insist that the platter be wrapped separately & double boxed. There are fewer surprises that way. If LP’s are for you, buy the most TT that you can, do the reasearch on them & phono pre’s. Setup is a science unto itself; and trained eyes can make subtle changes in a setup that will give great musical enjoyment. A moving coil is the Real way to go $200 will get you what took many hundreds a few years ago, also Clean records/washed will help the stylis last longer.Find a good Full Function pre that will work w/MC carts. Make sure you have a safe, sturdy place for it. You can invest time & try different footers, isolation platforms that will change the sound. Make sure you have it level and Enjoy. Invest in good speakers, listen to a lot to know what your preferences are.If you find some that really engauge you and get your feet tapping, budget funds for them after all they are what you listen to. Suggestions Find an Audio Club to join; it is suprising in one of those what one can learn & you get to listen to others setups, learn about things that will enhance your LP enjoyment.
