The Morgan Dollar started in 1878 and continued to 1904 then was minted in 1921. All Morgan Dollars currently have $11 in silver value. Two key date Morgan Dollars are the 1893 and 1895. Morgan Dollars were minted in three mints. The mints were Philadelphia, New Orleans(O), San Francisco(S), and Carson City(CC). All Carson City morgan dollars are worth $80 plus in good condition. To look for the mint mark, go to the reverse of the coin, under the wreath is the mint mark. If there is no mint mark then it is a Philadelphia. Fact: The lowest mintage other than the 1895 proof is the 1893 S– the 1893 S in good is currently worth about $3,250.
