I was reading my guide to sewing and thought I would write a little guide on teaching your children. I had a sewing machine that was top of the line it its day. It had a 100 cams that came with it and was really bulky to use. I had put it away and years later got it out to find it did not work anymore. So to the dear sewing machine repair man I went He told me it would never do more than a straight stitch. So instead of selling it or pitching it I passed it down to my daughter.

She sent to work on small projects and lovd having her own sewing machine. If you do not want sewing to become a lost art then you must teach the children to sew. They will have their share of goof ups just as we do but that is how they learn.

Pass that sewing machine down. If you do not have someone to pass it to, pass it to me… I have a Church full of young girls who would be eager to learn and it would be fun to have some classes to teach them the basic things.
