Beware of spoof (fake) e-mails claiming to be from PayPal. They do look very authentic. They usually claim that you have made a purchase from a seller and they have a link to click on if you want to dispute this purchase, or they say that your account is limited and a third party has tried to use your account. They ask you to sign in and verify your account to get off the limited account status. PayPal will never ask you to sign in through an e-mail. Ok now what to do if you should receive one of these. First you should get off your e-mail account and sign in to your PayPal account to check to see if there is any discrepancy. If there is not then sign out and go back into your e-mail account and forward the spoof (fake) PayPal e-mail as an inline text since PayPal wont take attatchments. Send it to spoof@paypal.com. Tell them that you believe the e-mail to be a spoof e-mail and ask them to confirm it for you. If you should receive any e-mail that claims to be from PayPal that you even suspect in the least especially one that says there is some sort of problem with your account, then send it off to spoof@paypal.com just to make sure. Better to be safe than sorry no matter how authentic the e-mail should look !! Remember do not sign into your account through one of these e-mails ever !! GOOD LUCK !!
