Everyday hundreds of thousands of auction listings are entered, writing an effective title for your listing is crucial. With a good title, you can catch ten times more potential bidders. However, are there any good tips on how to write eye-catching titles? The answer is YES! Now I would like to share some good thoughts with you by telling my own story.

I am a relatively new eBayer, started with ZERO positive feedback. That changed very soon once I sold my items faster. For example, I have been selling a DVD Lot Wholesalers directory on eBay. I tried different tiles to test results. I came up several titles

1) Amazing Wholesale Lot DVD Master Sources
2) Wholesale Lot DVD Master Sources Finally Revealed
3) My Personal List - DVD Lot Wholesale Master Sources
4) My Private List - DVD Lot Wholesale Master Sources

After a few weeks of test run, I found out that title 3) and title 4) brought better results. “My Personal List” and “My Private List” are the words that connect yourself with potential bidders on a personalized level. It is more convincing and eyecatching with good auction description. Title should be the Key Words for your auction, therefore, spend sometime on eBay to research idential or same products, and see how and what people are doing with their listings and titles. Find your own Key Words, for example, if the product is new, then always use “BRAND NEW”, if you want to state a good saving or value of your product, try put the dollar value before other keywords of your title, such as title like this one “Saving $20 Brand New Diaper Bag”

Study and study, create a personalized title for your product with eyecathing keywords is not that hard, just spend a little time to do the thinking, and prepare a couple titles and make test run, you would be glad to see its results. Good luck!
