US Postal Service Parcel Post is NEVER the proper venue for shipping breakable items! Parcels shipped via Parcel Post can weigh as much as 70 pounds. When the US Postal Service handles the parcels, they are put on a conveyor belt. At the end of the conveyor belt, these items fall into a huge bin. If that little box with something breakable is in that bin when that 70-pound box is dumped in there, do you really think the breakable item in that little box is going to survive and remain in tact? I think NOT!

US Postal Service Priority Mail is the ONLY venue if you are shipping with the US Postal Service, and then ONLY if the item is wrapped in large bubble wrap and packed with styrofoam peanuts. Newspaper is rarely a good packing material, and tissue paper is NEVER a good packing material.

Shipping insurance is always a good idea, but the cost of shipping will NOT be reimbursed when a claim is filed for a broken item. Sellers beware, we the sellers ARE responsible for shipping cost on items that were damaged due to improper packing!
