SELLERS want to know what to start your bidding at?
My World April 4th, 2008
As anyone knows items priced too high are likely not to sell. Do some research on what you’re selling. Look at similar items on that you can compare prices to. COMPLETED LISTINGS are great!!! You can see which items similar to yours sold and for how much. You can also see which items didn’t sell. Compare prices and start low. If people are interested they will bid.
I sold a truck about 6 months ago started the bidding off at .01 and it was over $1,000 by morning. I just recently sold a piece of pottery that I started at .99 and it sold for $39. Again, if people are interested, they will bid. Low prices encourage more bids.
You can also go the buy it now or best offer way. Put a buy it now price for what you actually want for the item and allow bidders to make offers. Most offers will be serious although you may get a few jokesters in the bunch that want to give you $20 for a car ![]()
