This is a Polaroid 1 step camera with a second close up lens. Tested and in fine working order. Uses Polaroid 600 film. I bought a lot of these from a local sheriff’s office when they changed over to digital cameras. They have the sheriff’s dept name on them.
Know the different rock climbing styles and determine what attracts you most. In general, a certain climbing surface calls for a specific kind of shoe. Wearing the pair that is designed for a particular type of climbing can help improve your performance.
Beginners should watch out not to buy shoes that are too tight. If they are, you might concentrate on your pain more than your climbing. This will surely irritate you on several levels! When your shoes do stretch, you can always compensate by adding socks. This approach can greatly improve your learning curve. Climbing shoes should generally fit tight around your feet. How tight is determined by what you are doing and how much pain you can stand. Your toes SHOULD curl up a bit in the front of the shoe and SHOULD NOT wiggle. This makes your foot that much more powerful for edging and smearing. Yes, it does make climbing shoes a bit uncomfortable. But what you sacrifice in comfort you make up for in control.
When you buy shoes, ignore the size on the box - every shoe company uses different lasts. There is no universal standard for sizing shoes. Some companies assume you will wear a climbing shoe that is one size smaller than your street shoe size. But others make the adjustment in the factory, os climbing shoe and street shoe sizes are the same. Since they are all designed differently, always try on several pairs. If buying through eBay - where you can always get the best deals out there - make sure to ask for the inside toe-to-heel measurements.
Be aware that unlined leather climbing shoes stretch about 1/2 inch in size with wear, so buy them snug. Lined leather shoes don’t stretch, since they will conform to your foot after several outings. Synthetic shoes won’t stretch at all. The fit you have in the store is the one you’ll have to live with.
AVOID buying used climbing shoes for all of the above reasons. Climbing shoes are designed to conform to the wearer’s foot. Your foot is like your fingerprints - no two are alike. Unlike buying street shoes in good used condition - climbing shoes should only be bought new so they can conform to your foot. Climbing shoes are uncomfortable enough to begin with - don’t try to force your foot to match someone else’s ‘footprint’.

I am just writing this guide to let people know about all the fake Barry Sanders jerseys there are out there. I have bought one of these jerseys so I know first hand what is it like when you open the package and discover a jersey that is not worth anything. Avoid buying a Barry Sanders jersey that says “PLAYER OF THE CENTURY”. These listings usually claim that everything is stitched on, which they are, but the most important thing is the fact that this jersy is NOT THE RIGHT COLOUR. This jersey is a very light baby blue colour, not the Honalulu blue the Lions jersey should be. Also be aware that the number 2 on the fake is not the right style. If you look at the “Reebok” (left) jersey the 2 is more of a box shape. On the fake the 2 goes down on a diagonal instead of the box shape. Also the fake jersey has a Detroit Lions crest on the shoulder, they have never had this on there jerseys This is a Reebok jerseyBeware of these jerseys (right). I hope this helps you avoid the disappointment I had when one of these jersey showed up.
This is about my personal experience learning continental knitting. I’ve been knitting for many years and to be honest, knitting and crocheting for over 40 years. What with a bookkeeping career and selling on the internet I am rapidly approaching surgery for carpal tunnel (both hands) before the end of the year. But I cannot give it up, like many needleworkers I am addicted. I absolutely love to relax with a hook or needles in my hands.
After many years of crocheting and knitting by the throwing method (yarn held in right hand and looping around the needle) I find that I can only work for a few minutes without pain and then have to wait for a while and then start again. I’ve read many articles about the left hand knitting process called, most commonly Continental, being easier on your hands, wrists and arms. And I wondered after so many years could I learn something new?
And the answer is YES! I’m not saying I’m great at it yet or that it took all the numbness or pain away, but I have found that I can knit a little longer then usual and it does seem to relieve some of the stress on my hands. I’m still practicing the art a little every day.
Now, if you would like to give it a whirl finding info is easier then you would think. The most helpful I located was on YouTube. Just type in Continental Knitting in the search bar at the top of the screen for Videos and a great selection of videos will come up for you to watch. I found this was a super way to learn because you can replay and replay and replay, till you get the hang of the movement and holding the yarn.
There is a problem though, there are sooooo many ways of this type of knitting. Who Knew? You can knit or purl in the front or back of the stitches by holding the yarn tension in your left hand giving varied results on the twist or lay of your knitting. I’ve selected a couple of types that work best for me and this is what you will have to do. None of it will feel normal at first, but as you test the stitches you’ll find some that will get easier as you go. But take your time, remember you are relearning an art and it doesn’t mean you will always knit like this in the future. I do switch back and forth occasionally, but I have found that I can knit a little longer, my hands do not hurt as much and I am feeling more comfortable with this style of knitting.
