I went shopping last night and was not able to use the JCP/Eckerds gift card. Apparantly JCP at one time owned Eckerds and two or three years ago they sold Eckerds off. Now the JCP computer system no longer recognizes JCP/Eckerds gift cards. When swiped through the maching it read “card invalid” yet we called the 1-800 # on the back of the gift card and sure enough it confirmed a balance- so the card was valid and had $ on it yet it was not able to be used. This was a disaster as I was at the register for 30 minutes and two managers and then the store owner all tried to help me.

I will NEVER buy a JCP/Eckerd’s combo gift card again.

I live in a state where there is no Eckerd’s so now I am stuck with a worthless gift card. Then again I can always try and sell it on Ebay……..
