Beading Tips & Tricks : Company Logos
Question:
One topic you mentioned last week was making sure our logo or initials are on the item. Did I misunderstand? A buyer does not want a tag on their necklace so where would you stamp it? I need a little expansion on that thought.
Answer:
We attach a tag at the back by the clasp on our finished jewelry. Buyers do want a tag on their jewelry. This identifies it as designer jewelry, which people like. When we sold electroformed jewelry, we always stamped “Kay” into the back of the pieces. Our customers looked for this stamp.
Jewelry pieces that do not have a name on them are like generic inexpensive jewelry. If you look at vintage jewelry, the most highly collectable fashion jewelry has the name of the designer stamped into it.
