iPod Nano iSkin

My last iPod Nano had to be sent to be repaired after pressure damage destroyed the skin, and I was sent a new one by AppleCare. I was determined that this time I wouldn’t damage my Nano, and purchased an iSkin Duo in BlushRush.
There are several good points about the iSkin Duo. It comes in many attractive colour combinations, to suit every taste. It also covers the dock and earphone sockets when they are not in use, by inserted a rubber cover. This means that dust/liquid/anything will not harm the iPod. It has pressure points on it so that if you drop your iPod, it wont be damaged. It also has a clear screen protector which stops any pressure being put on the Nano screen itself, meaning that you don’t have to worry about it being in your bag. Lastly, it has little bumps on it which make it far safer to hold, very much reducing the risk of dropping it whilst hurrying about outside.
There are a few downsides, however. Firstly, the rubber skin attracts every piece of dust or strand of hair in the vicinity, meaning that too often when you take it out of your pocket it resembles a very large square piece of fluff (okay, over exaggeration, but it does look a bit gross). Secondly, the screen protector means that the information at the sides of the screen is kind of blurred so its hard to tell how much battery you have left. And lastly, it makes the iPod Nano just that little bit chunkier - so its no longer as cute and beautiful as it was.
All in all, I would give it 7.5/10 - a good buy to protect the Nano, but if you are simply looking for style, you would be better off with a clear hard case.
