Lightwieght, scared my for what kind of amp I though I was getting.
Initial connections
Traditional car audio connections, I did not like the signal cable was on the other side from the power wires. Good idea in a sense yert made it difficult to mount for me. Great connectors for electrical transmission.
Sound Impression
Seemed dry at first with no warmth to it, although it had nil distortion. Trying to compensate with the gain on the amp for signal voltage led to massive ammounts of distortion and I quickly learned that that was not the way to correct my problem. Playing with the EQ and LPF has allowed me to get the tone I was looking for but that did sacrifice the tighness of the initial sound. As well as increase in exaguration of the 100Hz area. This led me to building a external crossover specifically for the mic ed responses. The crossover worked great applied to the RCA cable but it changed the voltage in such a way that it was causing distortion for any signal at 125Hz (aprox.) Reduction of the gain resolved this issue promptly. Leading to low bass levels. A reduction in the gain of the 4 channel resolved this leaving me with a systm that still sounds great with great tone all around, I just can’t completly blow out sombodys eardrums. Oh well.

Bottom Line
Great amp for the money, it may not sound good initially but if you build a good cab and find a good sub these amps should prove extremly well for any reference application. WARNING, NOT FOR THOSE PEOPLE WHO LOVE OVERWHELMING BASS.
