How To Write Through Block
popular books February 27th, 2008
If any of you writers are anything like me, you get writer’s block a lot, and it’s frustrating. Most of my block is coming to a point where I can’t seem to go forward, without making what I just wrote sound weird or misplaced. I usually come to some dialog or action and then don’t really know how to fit it in with the next part. Recently, I’ve found out that the quickest way for me to work around that is to redo what I’ve just written. Trying to figure out how to make something work usually ends up never happening and it has all been a drawn out waste of time. If I find something that is troubling me, I go back and try a different approach. Writers have building ideas and need to get them to paper (or text) fast. When blocks happen, it can stop our creativity and progress is killed, we don’t like that.
