To lubricate the cable, you need to insert one little plastic straw that come with many different spray lubricants into a small hole that leads to the interior of the cable luber around the top of the cable, then you put one end of the straw into the cable luber, and the other end into the nozzle of the spray lube and depress the nozzle. As the top of the cable’s outer sheath is sealed by the bottom part of the cable luber’s rubber inner and the inner wire is sealed by the top of the liner, the spray can’t aerosol pressure forces lubricant down between the wire and sheath.

If you keep the nozzle depressed for several seconds, you should be able to push lubricant along the entire length of the cable.

You can purchase the cable luber at sportingforless for $4.95.
