Thanks for purchasing a custom About Me page from Auctionblurbs! This guide was written to help you upload your new About Me page to your eBay account. Even if you have purchased your design from somebody other than Auctionblurbs or you have created a page yourself, this guide will take you through the process of making your new page live.

If you purchased your custom About Me page from Auctionblurbs, we sent you an email with a text file attached. This file contains the html code for your About Me page. You will need to have that file open and minimized on your desktop as you will need to reference it in a moment. If you did not purchase your custom page from Auctionblurbs, chances are you still received a text file that contains your code. If you have any questions about what you received, you should contact your designer.

Steps to Upload Your Custom About Me Page:

  1. Log into your eBay account.
  2. Visit eBay’s About Me Login Page located at the following url address: http://cgi3..com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?AboutMeLogin
  3. Click on Edit Your Page.
  4. Select “Enter Your Own HTML Code” and click Continue.
  5. Copy and paste EVERYTHING from the text file that contains your HTML code into the box. (If the box already contains text, you should delete everything BEFORE pasting your new code).
  6. Click Continue.
  7. You are now on the preview page. Scroll down to be sure your About Me page displays as it should. If your About Me page includes an area that will display your current auctions and feedback, these sections may not be visible until you complete the next step.
  8. If everything is to your liking, click on Submit.

Congratulations! Your new About Me page is now live and ready for visitors!

Troubleshooting

If your page is not appearing as it should, go through the steps again and be absolutely sure that you have deleted any characters in the html box before pasting your new code. Also, be sure that you have completely copied and pasted the code sent by your designer. Even leaving out one small character can have a huge difference on the way your page displays. If you are still experiencing problems, contact your designer for help.
