This guide was created to inform you of what official NFL, MLB, NBA and NHL logo patch cards look like. There are a lot of people that make fake logo patch cards and then try an sell them. Below I have pictures of what official NFL, MLB, NBA and NHL logo patch cards should look like. I also have some tips that can help you determine if your logo patch card is fake. I wrote the other guide on Ebay about how to spot fake sports cards that are up for sale. I decided to make another that focuses just on logo patch cards because a majority of the fake cards that people try an sell are cards like this. If you like this guide please check out How To Spot Fake Sports Cards That Are Up For Sale , Top 27: Most Counterfeited Vintage Sports Cards

NFL:

(Full Shield)

(Zoomed In)

MLB:

(Some MLB logo patch cards may coordinate with a team’s colors)

NBA:

(This is how all NBA logo patches look, card designs are different but all the patches look like this)

NHL:

(Gray border NHL logo patch)

(Orange border NHL logo patch)

Your logo patch card may be fake if:

  • the seller’s feedback percentage is low
  • the seller’s feedback is kept private
  • the logo patch card you are looking to buy has a high serial number (such as 200/200 instead of 1/1)
  • it is not serial numbered at all
  • the card says “game used jersey” instead of “game used patch” or “game used logo patch”
  • the window where the material is in looks cut up from it being tampered with
  • the logo patch looks nothing like real logo patches from that specific sport
  • the current high bidder’s ID is kept private, most likely the seller created multiple accounts to raise the price of their own auction

Thanks for checking out this guide. I hope you found it informative. Please come back as I will continue to update it. I am glad to try and answer any questions that you have about cards. Just send me a message.
