Coach makes very well made bags, and often will repair bags free of charge. However, if you bag is fake, it is almost for sure the bag will not last the same as an authentic COACH bag, and COACH, if you try to send it out for repairs will keep the bag.

So how you do you know if the COACH bag or item is real. Or ensure that the bag you are buying is not a factory, or seconds bag? Here are some simple tips.

1. FEEDBACK: If someone is new to , then they might be an honest seller, but it is better to go with a track record. Look for feedback on the seller that has previously sold COACH authentic bags on .

2. READ: Read the entire auction site. Someone that is selling authentic coach bags will often have lots of information on the bag, and will be happy to answer any questions. If you write the seller and they do not respond within 2 days, it might be a sign that the bag is not truly authentic.

3. PHOTOS: To help authenticate a COACH bag, it is important that you can see a good photo of the price tag and of the leather patch inside the bag. The 4 to 5 letter/number on the upper left hand side of the ticket should match the same number found at the end of the patch on the inside. Also cross reference the photos on the webside of COACH. If the photo is the same as the one on COACH’s website, you should ask the seller to send you a photo of the actual bag.

4. RETURN POLICY: The seller should offer returns if the bidder cannot authenticate the bag. Each buyer should determine what return policy they are happy with. Maybe you want to look the bag over and return the bag because you do not feel in your gut that it is authentic. Most sellers will ask that the bag be returned in the same condition.

5. TICKET and TAG: The price ticket should be located on the left hand side of the bag, often attached to the handle. If the bag was on display, the ticket will be attached to the inside zipper, that is located just above the inside bag tag. If the ticket has the letters “FS” located just before the style number (see above for images on the style number), then the bag is a Factory bag (older model or irregular merchandise). Also if the inside tag has a small impression like a bullet mark, then the bag is also a factory bag.

6. When in doubt, check it out. Look up more information the bag that you like and compare it to the bag that you want to bid on. Look at the sellers feedback. Be conserned with sellers outside the USA and CANADA. At this time, most COACH bags are manufactored in China or the USA. However, COACH is only sold in the USA, Canada and Japan. The prices of COACH in Canada and Japan are much higher.
