Wondering what to do with Golden Glycerin or Golden Opaque Melt & Pour Soap Base?
Here are a few suggestions:
Use the golden tone to your advantage and make beautiful, moisturizing, creamy soaps that everyone will love.
Brown Sugar
Honey
Almond
Coffee
Tea
Chamomile
Coco
Chocolate
Cinnamon
Vanilla
Apple Butter
Burnt Custard
Buckwheat
Pecan
Walnut
Nutmeg
Ginger
Date
Fig
Rum
Raisin
Oatmeal
Butterscotch
Caramel
And that is just to name a few. I am sure you will come up with your own list as well. The natural, rich golden tone of this wonderful, creamy soap base with its high content of naturally occuring glycerin and mounds of billowy lather is hard to beat.
Once you have a list, the next decision will be how to create all those different soaps successfully. There are several ways to do this. If you are an all natural person, you will probably want to use herbs and spices as much as possible. Several of the items on the list above can be used to add color, scent and texture at the same time. Ground cinnamon is a good example. Oatmeal is another. But others will yield the best results with the addition of a high-quality essential oil. Natural pigment soap colorant disks are very beneficial to enhance the color without running the risk of dying everything the bars touch.
This guild is not intended to have all the answers to the question. To do so would require a small book. Every journey begins with a single step, as the old saying goes. Since it isn’t possible to make all the different kinds of soaps listed above in a single soap-making session, find one you would like to try and begin there. The rest well follow as quickly as you wish. Progress in contagious. Enjoy the process!
Happy Soap Bubbles….
