Are you having trouble getting your buyers to return to your eBay store / listings? This guide will help you to realize the importance of repeat business in all of it’s many forms. Sit back, relax, and enjoy.

Give it to them fast.

If you’re selling on eBay, you’ve bought on eBay as well. We all know what it feels like when your seller takes a week to ship the item out, and even then forgets to send it Priority Mail as you’ve requested. Waiting isn’t any fun, but receiving your order in lighting speed is enough to send someone into shock.

My policy for my eBay listings has been same day shipping. Earlier in my eBay account stages I only had a few items per day (if that.) If you are committed to providing outstanding service to your buyers… they will never forget it. Use the USPS website to request a pickup free of charge. Whatever you do: get that item sent out as soon as possible!

Nothing fun in this box…

I’ve been sending notes in my packages since the very first item I sold. Why do I need to send an invoice for 1 item packages? Instead, I print small notes to include in my package that say (in essence) Thanks for buying from me, your business is greatly appreciated. I also include an email address incase anything is wrong with their order.

The bottom line is: invoices tell the buyer what they already know. They already know what they’ve bought. But by adding a special touch to the package that says, “Hey, thanks for your business” they’re getting more than they bargained for. Customer service will always be something that cannot be replaced. Make it show.

Brasspack (eBay packaging supplies seller) even sends popcorn with his shipments. Not only are the shipping supplies a great deal, but I always get something more than I’ve bargained for. And a few more pounds that need to be shed, but I just can’t resist popcorn :)

The Bottom Line

If you make your buyers feel valued, they will value your products and services. Make yourself outstanding, and make your company stand out from the rest of the crowd. Don’t be normal, being safe isn’t the easy way to be successful.

Good luck, and happy selling :)
