GARDEN DECOR GARDEN GNOME
The first garden gnomes were made is germany in the mid-1800s. They were made of terrocotta and were created based on the myths and local stories of how gnomes were willing to help in the garden at night. The Gardebn Gnome quickly spread across Germany., and into France and England, and whereever gardening was a serious hobby.
Traditional gnomes are made from terrocotta clay slurry poured into molds. The gnome is removed from the mold and allowed to dry, and then fired in a kiln until it became hard. Once cooled the gnomes are painted to the level of detail desired and sent to stores to be sold. More moders gnomes are made from resins and similiar materials.
