Gallery Photos!
antiques prices February 26th, 2008
After selling on for nearly 6 years and using it as my primary source of income, I ‘ve learned a few things. Gallery Photos…are they really necessary??? I have to answer that question with a resounding YES! What better way to spend .35 cents as a seller! There is no doubt that an enormous amount of potential bidders will “bypass” a listing with no gallery photo. The listings with the photos stand out and give the bidder an immediate interest. What a bidder can’t see, they can’t find interest in and they won’t pursue purchasing. We live in a very busy, fast-paced world. People won’t even take the time to sit down to dinner together, and they sure aren’t taking the time to open listings that haven’t intrigued them through a gallery picture. I use gallery photos for all of my listings, from the priciest, to the items with a starting bid of only $1.00. I buy and I sell on and I have experienced the gallery photos from both aspects. I, too, as a buyer, rarely open listings that don’t have a gallery photo. Am I missing out on the “deal of a lifetime”?? Maybe so, but I don’t know, won’t hurt me. It will sure hurt the buyer though.
