Fraud is Rampant on eBay and nothing is done. Sellers provide a name address and nothing else. Now I just was writing in a blog and suggested Sellers give a Social Security #. One woman told me I must have hit my head and who would buy from a negative one. She also attacked the initiator of the blog who only had a ten. He was to blame for someone taking payment and leaving eBay. Another said she would be afraid of fraud. Another suggestion is to read the feedback. If you have a business, you need a business liscense in your city and state. You give your Social Security #. The problem is that unless something is done–people will be defrauded. Eventually, eBay will be investigated and there will be government regulations or people just won’t buy. Millions of items don’t sell. Ebay raised all the fees, but the profits are diminishing for sellers. To keep blaming the buyer and saying look at feedback is a cop out. Evidently, it is not working as people are defrauded every day. You don’t have to buy here nor should you be told you fell out of a tree for thinking fraud is a criminal offense and buyers new and old should be protected.
