Condominium Manager Available When considering a new property manager for your condominium association, first ask for a listing of their properties or if they are a new company ask for a listing of their references. Ask to see a sample of a business proposal and also for them to come to your property for an inspection of what they envision for your property. If they work in Texas, it is not required for them to have a broker or salesperson/real estate agent license as long as they do not lease condos out, but if they do have a license, you can find their information on the Texas Real Estate Commission Website. If they are not licensed, ask to see what education they have or experience. Another good indicator is if they pay their personal and/or business real estate taxes on time. If they do not pay their own, you might question if they would pay yours on time. Last but not least, what are their other properties that they manage? Are they able to handle the load, giving enough service to each property or are they too big to take care of all of their properties? If so, you might be better off with a smaller company that can give your condo association personalized service.
