Feedback Hostage

I have been both a buyer and seller on for the last few years and have a 100% postive rating. As a seller, I rate my buyers only on how fast they pay as a customer, not the kind of feeback they leave me. As a buyer, I expect to be rated the same way - I buy something, pay quickly through PayPal, expect my purchase to be shipped immediately, and leave feedback after I receive and am satisfied with my merchandise.
However, more and more sellers on refuse to leave feedback for buyers until you have left feedback for the seller. This is wrong. They are, in effect, holding you hostage - if you leave positive feedback you get positive; if you leave negative feedback, you get negative. It is not about the merchandise or the transaction, it is only about the feedback.
It is the buyers and sellers who make work, but without the customer would not be such a success. Make sure you read the sellers’ ads completely. If you see one who says they will not leave feedback unless you do - do not buy from them because they only care about the money and the feedback, not the customer.
Sellers will tell you they want to reserve their feedback in case there is a problem with the merchandise and they want to resolve that first. There are avenues available to resolve these problems that should not involve withholding feedback.
