Feedback has turned into a blackmail system for some people.I have been buying and selling on E-Bay for a relatively short time and have found feedback to be something of a joke. I have won an auction, payed immediately by paypal then waited for the seller to ship the object and leave feedback only to get a note saying he gave positive feedback for positive feedback. In other words, if I did everything right and his end of the transaction sucked I better not say anything in my feedback or my reputation would suffer. If the buyer upholds his end of the transaction they should be entiteled to positive feedback, if not then negative feedback is appropriate. The same goes for a seller, they should get positive feedback when it is deserved and negative feed back if they do a poor job. Feedback wasn’t designed to hold people hostage, but to let honest buyers and sellers know about dishonest buyers and sellers. You should strive to make your end of a transaction the best expierience it can be for everyone involved. If you deserve criticism you should be able to accept it like an adult and try to improve on the next transaction.
