eCheques My Guide.

This is a rough guide I have written on Paypal eCheques.
An eCheque is when buyer pays you with Paypal using an eCheque , which basically means the buyer funds their Paypal account via a bank transfer.
eCheques can take up to 5 days to reach the buyers Paypal account and another 24 hours to reach the sellers Paypal account.
Hence the sellers Paypal account will say “UNCLEARED”, until cleared funds have been received.
Once cleared funds have been received the sellers account will state “COMPLETED” and you can send the buyers item to them.
Sellers should never ever under any circumstances ship out any items paid for buy Paypal eCheque until confirmed funds have been received in their account.
This type of payment is very open to fraud where buyers pay for items via eCheque then cancel the bank transfer used to fund Paypal.
In the worst case any sellers who send out items before confirmed payment is received ends up not only loosing the item but the payment for it.
In “My eBay” under “Sold?an eCheque shows up as an hour glass / egg timer that says “this item is pending payment though Paypal.?/P>
A Very Handy Tip.
On your auction listing make sure that if you state that items will be sent out within a set period say 5 days, add / make sure you put “SUBJECT TO CLEARED FUNDS” somewhere in your listing.
If you fail to add this and your buyers eCheque takes 10 days to clear, the buyer can and will leave negative feedback saying “item not received within 5 days as stated in listing bla bla bla? even thou you know it took 10 days for their payment to clear, your more likely to get neg feedback from annoyed scammers who have been caught out.
I hope this explains what an eCheque is and the simple steps to protect yourself and safeguard you items and feedback.
Please note I accept no responsibility for any loss of business or damage to items / feedback and loss of revenue resulting in the use of this guide, is for information purpose only, use at your own risk.
Any recommendations / corrections welcome.
