Tired of looking at that dust building up on your artificial plants and flower arrangements? Here are a few easy ways of keeping them clean.

The easiest at home method I have found includes one brown paper grocery bag and a little bit of table salt. This is the best method for singles, swags, and wreaths. Simply place your flowers inside the bag and add the desired amount of salt (depending on the amount of dust and the mass of the flowers). It doesn’t take much. Gently roll down the edges of the paper bag to form a tight seal. Next, give the bag a good shaking. The salt granules will gently rub against the edges of the flowers, cleaning off any particles of dust. When you are finished, the results are magnificent. The salt simply falls back into the bag, acting as sort of a “scrub brush” and will not stick to your stems.

With flower arrangements and artificial potted plants, the brown bag & salt method may not be an option (unless you want to take the time to replace each flower the way they were). For these types of arrangments, you can purchase a can of anti-static air (used for cleaning electronics). Anti-static air can be found at many electronic and variety stores. Simply use this product to blow off any dust on your arrangements to get them clean and looking new again.

I hope you will find these tips useful and helpful..
