In the last week or so, while looking to make a purchase, I’ve notice a lot of listings that have a note to “contact me before bidding or your bid will be cancelled” or “contact me to find out the terms of this sale”. Well most, if not all, were phishing or fraudulent listings or the seller was making the shape of their auction change. I find that reputable sellers state exactly the terms on the listing page and adher to eBay’s policies as do I. So buyer beware and make sure that the listing is legitimate, there are many, many legitimate sellers so be choosey when bidding and remember, “if it sounds to good to be true” you know the rest.
