A little information about your concrete statuary. I have sold concrete garden statuary for over 7 years and know how to protect your concrete statuary from the weather. Stress cracks are normal for concrete in cold climates. Your outdoor concrete statuary should be on a patio stone, piece of slate, wood etc. The reason for this is that the earth expands and contracts with the weather. If your concrete statuary piece is on the ground in the winter, the bottom of your statue goes through the expansion and contracting process along with the earth. It can absorb moisture from the ground into your statue piece which can cause stress cracks. Your statue will be fine if placed on a patio stone in the winter.
