When purchasing a Coach bag, one thing that you can do is compare the bag being sold on eBay to the purses on the offical Coach website. You can compare the style and the hardware on the bag to the items on the Coach website. Coach bags have very sturdy, well-made hardware, whereas fake bags have hardware that looks cheap. Also, “COACH” is stamped on the hardware of genuine Coach bags. Notice the hardware on the authentic Coach purse below:

Also, you will find that Coach products are sewn together very precisely. On some bags the fabric is sewn together to create a mirror image of the pattern, as seen on the authentic Coach bag pictured below:

Some bags have fabric sewn together so that the design continues without interruption as seen on the bag below (my personal Coach favorite!):

Other bags, such as the scarf print or patchwork bags, do not line up the ways mention above and my reccomendation is to go to the Coach website and compare with the purses there.
