All i can say is even if you have all the space in the world, i can not recommend enough the clip on table high chairs. They are suitable from around 6 months to 3 years depending on the childs weight. They can saty clipped on the table or removed and taken out with you if you are eating out with your child. Your child will learn to sit at the table for dinner and are also very useful if clipped to aa breakfast bar when you are trying to put the washing in,empty the dishwsher, mop the floor or cook. Whatever it is you are doing, you can do it whilst interacting with your child and knowing that they are safe. They start at arund ?5 from mothercare and lots of other makes are out there but are hard to find in the UK. Jane and Phil and Teds also sell one, but i could only get the mothercare one and it took me 4 months until i could get my hands on one!! They are good value, safe and brilliant. They take up little space and no floor space at all and your child can eaat with you at the table, or play while you are pottering. My Daughter is 10 months now and crawls to her seat and looks up at it when she wants her food!

Another good seat if you enjoy eating out or having coffee with friends is the Totseat. So many people have commented on this and my table seat. The Totseat can be found on . most of the time for around ?0 new. Its a fabric seats which fits into your baby changing bag and can be attached to most chairs. I havent found one it doesn’t fit on yet!
