Tips For Cleaning Silk Arrangments and Artificial Trees

We all know that after a while dust settles on our silks and artificial arrangements and trees, making them look dull and dirty. Here are some quick tips to keeping your flowers and trees beautiful as the day you bought them.

You can buy from any craft store artificial and silk plant cleaner. This works really well, if you don’t mind the fumes or transporting your arrangments and trees outside. A quick method I use is I take out my static duster or feather duster and spray a light coat of Endust on my duster. I rub it in using my hand so it distribues evenly. I run my duster over the leaves and flowers gently removing any dust that has settled. Endust has some thing in it that collects and eats up the dust. For heavily dusted trees and arrangements, I use my blow dryer on a low heat setting and give it a burst of air. Blowing the flowers , leaves and getting air down to the moss. This works well also. Another method is using canned anti- static air. It is used for electronics. It can be bought at any office supply or Walmart. If your arrangements are put together well you shouldn’t have any problems with these methods. If you have the time, you can also go through your arrangements and use a old blush brush or paint brush to go over leaves and flowers. I do not recommend these tips on dryed flowers.
