“HOW ALL ADVERTISING WORKS?”

popular books February 27th, 2008

1. EVERY NEW BUSINESS HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BE THE NEXT MICROSOFT OR ANYWHERE IN BETWEEN OR BEYOND

2. IT’S NOT WHO OR WHAT YOU ARE THAT DETERMINES SUCCESS OR FAILURE. IT’S WHO OR WHAT YOU “APPEAR” TO BE IN THE EYES OF PEOPLE WHO ARE YOUR POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS.

3. NO AD EVER WORK ALONE! ALL ADS GENERATE RESULTS COMPOUNDED BY ALL THE PREVIOUS ADVERTISING YOU HAVE DONE.

4. BRAND NEW BUSINESSES ARE STARTING FROM SQUARE ONE — NO RESIDUAL EFFECTS WHATSOEVER — SO YES, YOU ARE NOT GOING TO GET YOUR INVESTMENT BACK ON YOUR FIRST FEW ADS — ESPECIALLY IF YOU ALLOW YOUR ADVERTISING TO GET TOO COLD. (THIS IS WHY MOST SMALL ADVERTISING JUST DOESN’T PAY.)

5. FIND YOUR NICHE AND MAKE A PEST OF YOURSELF! DO NOT LET YOUR POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS GO EVEN A WEEK WITHOUT SAYING “HELLO — HERE I AM!” IN AS MANY FUN AND CREATIVE WAYS AS YOU CAN. YOU DO NOT WIN FRIEND OR CUSTOMERS BY BEING A SERIOUS, BUSINESS ONLY” PERSON. AND YOU DO NOT WIN FRIENDS OR CUSTOMERS BY COMING ON HOT AND HEAVY AND THEN DISAPPEARING FOR THREE MONTHS — UNTIL YOU ARE HOT AND HEAVY AGAIN.

6. WHEN ASKED WHO YOUR POTENTIAL CUSTOMER ARE — DO NOT ANSWER “EVERYBODY!” THAT IS THE EASIEST WAY TO GO OUT OF BUSINESS — TRYING TO REACH EVERYBODY WITH EVERY KIND OF ADVERTISING THAT PRESENTS ITSELF AT YOUR DOOR. AFTER ALL, HOW MANY FRIENDS WOULD YOU KEEP IF YOU WANTED TO HAVE ONE HUNDRED CLOSE FRIENDS? YOU WOULD LOSE MOST BECAUSE IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO PROPERLY KEEP IN TOUCH WITH ALL HUNDRED ON A WEEKLY BASIS.

THE SAME IS TRUE OF CUSTOMERS - BUT ON A LARGER SCALE. BE CHOOSY AND DO NOT WASTE MONEY ADVERTISING TO THE “ENTIRE CITY” WHEN YOUR ONLY TRULY POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS LIVE USUALLY IN A RADIUS OF “TWO MILES TOWARD AND ONE MILE AWAY FROM CITY CENTER ” WHICH IS TRUE FOR MOST STORES AND BUSINESSES WITH ONE LOCATION.

7. PLAN YOUR ADVERTISING ACCORDING TO YOUR VISION FOR YOUR BUSINESS.

8. KNOW YOUR LIMITS AND BE PREPARED FOR THE RESULTS.

Herbs for Fertility - Chinese Herbal for Infertility

popular books February 27th, 2008

AgelessHerbs.com

Chinese medicine is very successful in increasing a woman’s chance to conceive. Chinese herbs for fertility address the underlying issues that lead to infertility. Chinese herbs can restore health when there are structural issues, such as a blockage in the fallopian tube, or fibroid in the uterus. Chinese herbs are also effective at addressing mechanical issues seen in infertility, such as scar tissue that blocks the fallopian tubes or Endometriosis. Ovulatory issues can also be addressed successfully with Chinese medicinal herb formulas; they can balance hormones effectively when ovarian failure is due to hormonal issues. Chinese herb formulas are especially helpful for older women who have the mysterious unknown causes for infertility.

There are several advantages to using Traditional Chinese Herb Medicine as an approach to improving fertility.
1.) Chinese Herbal Therapy stimulates the body’s natural healing potential by treating root causes rather than just symptoms.
2.) Chinese herbs decrease undesired side effects and accumulated toxicity from invasive procedures and drug therapy.
3.) Chinese herbs strengthen and balance the body so that IVF, GIFT, AHT and TET procedures are more effective. General health benefits and endocrine system balancing from Chinese herbs insures that conception may occur

There are several common patterns that can cause infertility that can be caused by one, or several, Organ systems. To a modern Westerner, the Chinese concept of Organs might seem unusual as the Chinese Medical concept of Organs lack emphasis on a physical structure. Although many terms used when speaking of Organs are similar to Western concepts, they do not refer to the specific tissue, but rather to semi-abstract concepts of interrelated functions. Each Organ system has an affect on the other Organ systems when it becomes imbalanced. These functions are not based on surgical discoveries, but on clinical observation of patients over many thousands of years.

Three Easy Steps to Conception:

#1 Tonify the Kidney

Deficiency is often a key culprit in infertility, especially for women trying to conceive in her 30’s and 40’s, and is not something that is recognized in Western medicine. Kidney Deficiency and Essence Deficiency are the most common patterns seen for women struggling with infertility. In Chinese medicine, the ‘Kidney Energy; is responsible for successful reproduction. Sufficient Kidney Energy is also necessary in the prevention of miscarriages. It is restored using Kidney Tonic Formulas, such as our formula Women’s Treasure Formula, that is nutritive and restorative for the Kidney

#2 Resolve Liver Qi Stagnation

The Liver Energy is responsible for menstrual blood, and is the main underlying cause of stagnation in the uterus; it doesn’t always manifest as a mechanical block that can be diagnosed, but, Liver Qi Stagnation could be a factor in fallopian tube blocks, endometriosis, or fibroids. It is important that the Liver Energy is soothed with Chinese herbs for successful conception. The herbs contained in our formula Free & Easy Wanderer will resolve Liver Qi Stagnation for infertility.

Move Blood of the Lower Jiao & Break Up Qi Stagnation in the Uterus

In Chinese Medicine, there is a functional organ system called the Triple Burner, or more specifically, the Triple Jiao; it has no comparable organ in Western medicine. The uterus & fallopian tubes are located in the Lower Jiao The energy of the Lower Jiao can be disrupted by a stagnation of Qi & Blood. It can also be complicated by dampness, another underlying cause of stagnation that cannot be addressed with Western medicine; this condition is often seen with fibroids and endometriosis. Herbs that move Blood and Qi in the uterus, such as our formula Stasis in the Lower Palace, help to clear accumulations and stagnation in the Lower Jiao associated with infertility.

Hormonal Balancing
In Chinese medicine, hormonal balance is created by proper Liver & Kidney function. There are also specific herbs that are phyto-estrogenic that can be utilized such as Chaste Berry and Common Sage, however, the overall health of the endocrine system must be addressed with herbformulas that support Liver & Kidney functions, such as Woman’s Treasure Formula and Free and Easy Wanderer Formula discussed above.

Lower Back Pain Relief with Natural Chinese Herbs

popular books February 27th, 2008

Our typical image of pain killers are drugs that block nerve conduction signals to the brain; natural pain treatments work much differently and optimally initiate true healing and long term relief from pain.

Chinese medicine recognizes these common causes of lower back pain:

1.) Trauma
Trauma due to a car accident, improper lifting, or strains, is the most common cause of lower back pain and results in Blood Stagnation, Qi Stagnation, and inflammation. This type of lower back pain is acute, and is typically sharp and severe in nature, especially in the early stages. Use our Great Mender Formula for lower back pain from trauma.

2.) Deficiency
Overworking, poor lifestyle habits and aging lead to ‘Kidney Deficiencies?in Chinese medicine. This condition is typically chronic in nature with dull, achie pain and progresses gradually. Other Kidney Deficient symptoms such as knee pain, tinnitus, coldness, and low energy could also present with this type of lower back pain. Use our Ancestor Treasure Formula for lower back pain from deficiency.

3.) External Invasions
In Chinese medicine, environmental factors can have a dramatic effect on our health, especially if we are run down. Many people recognize that their pain syndromes are exacerbated with cold or damp weather. This type of lower back pain is often dull, achy and heavy in nature, improving with heat. Use our Resilient Warrior Formula to boost your immune stystem and strengthen yourself against external invasions.

Often, those with lower back pain have a combination of all three causes; someone with a weak back from deficiency would be more susceptible to injury. Similarly, if your back were injured and weak, you would be more susceptible to an external invasion of cold and damp.

Healing Strategies for Lower Back Pain in Chinese Medicine

There are many natural approaches to reversing lower back pain in Chinese medicine. They can be used alone, or in unison for speedy healing.

Stimulating the Free Flow of Blood & Qi
Qi (pronounced “chee? is generally thought of as the vital force within our bodies. Qi is yang in nature and is responsible for animation of the human form. Qi travels through the 12 meridians (channels) very much like blood through vessels. Chinese medicine works to insure that Qi is able to move freely, that it is moving in the correct direction, and that there is an abundant availability of Qi. Blood in Chinese medicine is similar to the Western medical concept, as it circulates nutrients and healing agents in the body. Where Qi goes, Blood follows. If a person’s Blood & Qi are flowing freely, he/she will be pain free; good blood circulation to the lower back will speed healing. Natural herbs such as Red Sage, acupuncture, massage, and essential oils such as cinnamon and rosemary all improve Blood & Qi circulation. Great Mender Formula moves Qi & Blood.

Reduce Inflammation & Clear Heat
Inflammation is a natural part of the healing process; however, excessive swelling can cause additional tissue dame in cases of trauma and strain. Cold therapy is often applied immediately after an injury to stop the inflammation, as cold is quite restricting. This restricting quality of cold therapies will cause increased Blood & Qi stagnation if it is used after the initial 24 hours of an injury. Although cold therapies applied to the lower back, even in deficient conditions, will provide temporary pain relief, it essentially aggravates the condition and delays lower back pain relief. Anti-inflammatory herbs such as wild yam and meadowsweet are effective in safely clearing inflammation over the long haul. Acupuncture is also effective in reducing inflammation. Our Lower Back Pain Cream contains pure essential oils to reduce inflammation.

Tonify Kidney Deficiencies
This is probably the most important aspect of attaining true and lasting relief from lower back pain. Chinese Kidney Tonic Herbs can be taken over a number of months to restore vitality and strength naturally. The concept of the Organs in Traditional Chinese Medicine is radically different from that of contemporary Western medicine. Understanding this difference is very important because the physiology and pathology of the Organs is fundamental to the understanding and treatment of disease. Our Ancestor Treasure Formula strengthens the Kidney function.

Headache Remedies - Chinese Herbal Medicine

popular books February 27th, 2008

AgelessHerbs.com

In Chinese medicine, headaches are typically due to some type of Liver disharmony. There are many different types of headaches in Chinese medical diagnosis and making a distinction between the multitudes of possible syndromes helps to have a successful treatment plan.

The most common Liver disharmony is Liver Qi Stagnation. The Liver is most happy when it has abundant Liver Blood flowing through it keeping it nourished and cool. The Liver is also pacified with the free and easy movement of Qi and Blood circulating throughout. Use our Free and Easy Wanderer Formula to relieve Liver Qi Stagnation.

If the Liver Blood becomes deficient, or if the Blood and Qi stagnate in the Liver, the Liver begins to heat up and become agitated. As this condition becomes chronic, the Liver can strike out at other organs, such as the Heart causing insomnia, or the Large Intestine causing digestive disorders such as IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome).

As in nature, heat in the body rises. In the case of Liver Heat, the Heat can rise through the meridians (or channels) and Liver heat often rises through the Gall Bladder channel. The Liver and Gall Bladder channels are connected and the Gall Bladder channel traverses the occipital area of the skull (the base of the skull) and the head itself ending at the temples. This is why Liver Heat Rising is one of the most common diagnostic patterns for headaches in Chinese medicine.

While immediate relief can be gained by anti-inflammatory medications and other pain killers, ultimately the root of the problem, Liver Qi Stagnation, must be addressed for long term relief. In Chinese medical theory, health is not simply the absence of pain and disease, health is the complete restoration of all of the organ systems and the free flow of Qi and Blood. This can be accomplished in many ways such as acupuncture/acupressure, nourishing Tonic herbs, a healthy lifestyle and Qi Gong exercises.

Healthy Eyes
The Liver opens into the eyes and whenever treating eye problems such as night blindness, blurred vision, cataracts, color blindness, redness, pain or itching of the eyes, the Liver must first be addressed.

Joint Heath
The Liver governs the sinews and the Liver Blood is responsible for nourishing tendons. Therefore, the Liver must be nourished to avoid stiffness in the joints and is central in the treatment of arthritis.

Hormonal Health
The Liver regulates menstruation and is responsible for the smooth flow of menstruation. Liver Qi Stagnation causes PMS, mood swings, irregular bleeding, cramps, and distention association with menstruation and peri-menopause. Along with the Kidney system, proper Liver function maintains hormonal balance and is always addressed in cases of fertility and reproduction.
