I bought this club because I play Mizuno and and my friend had one, He paid 185.00 for his and I saw that it was a perfect club for those long par 3’s
and some shots that I didnt feel comfortable hitting my 4 iron on.I got mine from E_Bay for I belive about 35.00 (I feel like I stole it) It was just a great buy! and I got the club in time for my skins game that Sunday!
I since have got closest to the pin 3 out of seven games on long par 3’s and the other times I was right there .I cant say enough good things about the addition to my set.
It is so easy to hit and goes straight as an arrow .This was just a awsome buy .
I love this club!

Sonartec Utility Clubs

Items for sale May 29th, 2008

I’m an avid, scratch golfer - 0 handicap. Sonartec Utility clubs are among the most solid clubs I’ve EVER hit. I have two in my bag now. Will likely change lofts as I’m still experimenting with filling yardage gaps. Currently have the 15* and 17*. As expected, the yardage difference is slight. I no longer carry a 3-wood (15* substitutes for it). The Sonartec is easier to hit and much straighter. Will likely settle on the 15* and 19* or 21*.

The two clubs have different shafts - the standard IRod shaft and a Fujikura Speeder 757. Both are excellent!!!! IRod has higher trajectory, Speeder lower and more boring. I can’t say enough about these clubs.

sonartec md-still a great club-now a bargain

Still one of the best hybrids out there at a fraction of the cost of both its original price ($199) and the cost of more recent hybrids. Can work the ball left or right with ease. Can run the ball, hitting it low or make it sit hitting it high. Irod shaft is very consistent. Experiment with the setup of the clubhead, closing it slightly and hitting towards the toe to draw and near the heel with it open to cut it. Have fun…great value….great performance…just takes some experimentation…do it…it’s worth it…good luck

Cleaning Tip for Vintage Corningware Teapots

Items for sale April 10th, 2008

Is your seemingly clean teapot hiding a dirty little secret?

During the time I’ve been lucky enough to collect and sell vintage Corningware teapots I’ve found that even those well cared for and pristine in appearance are often hiding dirt and grime. Even with normal washing grime builds up between the metal collar and neck of these pots.

Follow these simple steps to free your vintage treasure from years of built up dirt:

1. Loosen screw and remove handle

PAPERWEIGHTS IDENTIFIED AS BACCARAT- ARE THEY?

Items for sale April 10th, 2008

THIS IS FOR THE PURPOSE OF WARNING PURCHASERS AND PREVENTING SELLERS FROM REPRESENTING THAT THEY ARE OFFERING SOMETHING THAT IS (IN THIS INSTANCE, “MILLEFIORI BACCARAT OVERLAY PAPERWEIGHT SIGNED”) WHICH IT IS NOT. I HAVE NOTIFIED THE SELLER THAT IT IS NOT A BACCARAT AND REQUESTED THAT THEY PUT IN OR SEND ME A PICTURE OF THE “SIGNED” MARK. AS OF THIS WRITING I HAVEN’T RECEIVED A REPLY.

ITEM #15022429352.search

THIS IS A MURANO PAPERWEIGHT MADE IN THE 1970′S. BACCARAT HAS DENIED EVER MAKING THIS, AND HAS DESCRIBED IN DETAIL THE MARK THEY USED ON THEIR PAPERWEIGHTS. SINCE I HAVEN’T RECEIVED A PICTURE OF THE MARK ON THIS WEIGHT, I AM UNABLE TO PUT THIS INFORMATION IN THIS GUIDE. I CAN SAY WITH CERTAINTY THAT THE MILLEFIORE CANES IN THIS WEIGHT DO NOT RESEMBLE ANY CANES IN ANY BACCARAT WEIGHT, BUT RESEMBLE MANY, MANY, MANY MURANO PAPERWEIGHTS LISTED FOR SALE ON EBAY.

UPDATE 3/18/08: THE SELLER HAS PUT A PHOTO IN THE LISTING SHOWING THE BACCARAT MARK. IT IS A CRUDE COPY OF THE REAL BACCARAT MARK. THIS MARK WAS USED IN THE 1970′S BY A PAPERWEIGHT MAKER FROM ONE OF THE MURANO GLASS FACTORIES.

UPDATE 3/19/08: THIS SELLER HAS ALSO LISTED AN “ANTIQUE BACCARAT PANSY” ITEM #150224291253 search THIS IS A CHINESE COPY OF A NEW ENGLAND AND/OR SANDWICH FLOWER MADE IN THE 1930′S. IT IS NOT AN ANTIQUE BACCARAT PANSY.

UPDATE 3/27/08: THE SELLER HAS SOLD #15022429153 FOR AN AMOUNT FAR ABOVE ITS REAL VALUE OF $50-$75, AND ITEM #150224293352 FAR FAR ABOVE ITS REAL VALUE. IF THIS HAD BEEN AN AUTHENTIC BACCARAT OVERLAY, A KNOWLEDGEABLE COLLECTOR WOULD HAVE BID IN EXCESS OF $2,500 FOR IT.

$25 WOULD HAVE PURCHASED A BOOK TITLED “BACCARAT PAPERWEIGHTS AND RELATED GLASS-1820-1860″ AND $28 WOULD HAVE PAID FOR “CLASSIC FRENCH PAPERWEIGHTS”, BOTH OF WHICH ARE LISTED FOR SALE ON EBAY.
