What to look for when you are buying!!

I Am Legend February 22nd, 2008

When you are about to buy something look at the following.
1.Make sure you read what your buying before you place a bid or do a buy it now.
(You would not believe how many times I and lots of other people I know place a bid on something before reading it fully and then finding out they bought something different then they thought or didn’t get something in the package like a remote to a dvd recorder just because you place a bid at the end with out reading because it was so cheap you couldn’t believe it and you couldn’t wait to read about it at the end of the auction)
2.When you are about to buy something see if the person has sold something like your looking to buy before.
(If the person has sold stuff like it before and the people who bought it are happy you should be good to buy it.But if you buy it from some one who has wronged people in that kind of thing then it would be a better idea not to buy it.And some times it is better to buy from a privet person compared to a store or a business on eBay because they are trying to get rid of something that they don’t want or need to get money so they will try to be totally truthful in what they are selling because they do not want to have returns. But the others want to sell they do not care as much as a privet person selling)
3.What kind of item is it
(Some times you can get stuff really cheap but watch out if its from China or some where out side of the U.S. If you are not the kind of person that cares if it is name brand then some times those Chinese sellers are the way to go. But some times the stuff is really cheap and you get what you pay for. Personally I prefer to buy in U.S. only)

So if you follow these steps you should be able to get something that you want and it to be in great.shape working in all and not have to go threw the hassle of sending something back

Castle Movies

I Am Legend February 22nd, 2008

Hi,

I’ve been collecting these movies for a few years. They are film, usually 8mm, but also come in 16mm. There are several sizes and styles availables, some with colour or with just B&W (black and white).

Many sellers aren’t aware of it, but there are 2 basic sizes, the 3inch and 5 inch reels. The smaller is called the “HEADLINE” version.

I’ve been collecting catalogs for awhile, and in time I’ll be posting a numbered guide that reflects the catalogs.

Any information that you have, or need to know feel free to email me through eBay.

Thanks

Tom Bates

WRESTLEMANIA

For two decades, WrestleMania has defined the epitome of sports-entertainment. It has been witness to the most historic confrontations, the most memorable performances, and has seen memorable appearances from many of the biggest names in the entertainment industry - from Muhammad Ali to Mike Tyson, Alice Cooper to Fred Durst, Run DMC to Boyz II Men, Cyndi Lauper to Reba McEntire, and so many others.

WrestleMania - New York City, NY - Madison Square Garden - March 31, 1985 (19,121)

Though it is widely accepted that The Wrestling Classic in November 1985 was the first pay-per-view of the WWF, WrestleMania was offered on pay-per-view in select markets; featured Gorilla Monsoon & Jesse Ventura on commentary; included Gene Okerlund performing the National Anthem to begin the show; future WWE stars Nunzio and Tommy Dreamer were in attendance for the event:

Tito Santana defeated the Executioner (Buddy Rose) via submission with the figure-4

David Sammartino (w/ Bruno Sammartino) fought Brutus Beefcake (w/ Johnny V) to a double disqualification when both Bruno and Johnny V interfered (Best of the WWF Vol. 3)

Ricky Steamboat pinned Matt Borne with the flying bodypress

King Kong Bundy (w/ Jimmy Hart) pinned SD Jones following the Avalanche in the corner (Grand Slams)

Andre the Giant defeated Big John Studd (w/ Bobby Heenan) in a $15,000 bodyslam match; after the bout, Andre began throwing the money into the crowd until Heenan returned ringside to grab as much as he could; had Andre been unsuccessful in slamming Studd, he would have been forced to retire (Andre the Giant VHS, Andre the Giant DVD)

The Junkyard Dog defeated WWF IC Champion Greg Valentine (w/ Jimmy Hart) via count-out; Valentine had won the bout earlier but the referee ordered the match to continue when he was informed by Tito Santana that Valentine’s feet were on the ropes during the cover

Prime Time Wrestling - 4/17/85: Nikolai Volkoff & the Iron Sheik (w/ Freddie Blassie) defeated WWF Tag Team Champions Mike Rotundo & Barry Windham to win the titles when Volkoff pinned Windham after Sheik hit Windham in the back with Blassie’s cane (Tag Team Champions)

Prime Time Wrestling 5/1/85: Wendi Richter (w/ Cyndi Lauper) pinned WWF Women’s Champion Lelani Kai (w/ the Fabulous Moolah) to win the title (Amazing Managers)

WWF World Champion Hulk Hogan & Mr. T (w/ Jimmy Snuka) defeated Roddy Piper & Paul Orndorff (w/ Bob Orton Jr.) when Hogan pinned Orndorff after Orton accidentally knocked Orndorff out with a double axe handle off the top, using his arm cast, while the refereee was distracted; Pat Patterson was the guest referee, Muhammed Ali was the special ring enforcer, NY Yankees manager Billy Martin was the guest ring announcer, and Liberace was the guest time keeper; voted Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s Match of the Year (Grudge Matches, Hulk Hogan: The Ultimate Anthology)

Shipping and Handling Rip-offs Hurt Honest Sellers!

I Am Legend February 22nd, 2008

What i hate is when i see auctions like this one: eBay # 300039749875. This guys is shipping from OREGON and charges $50.00 for shipping. He sells a Hakama and Keikogi set for $9.99. Which means he only pays eBay Final Value Fees for the $9.99. Meanwhile, honest sellers who charge higher auction starting prices get less exposure and pay more fees because we charge the ACTUAL shipping price, instead of figuring our inventory costs into the shipping. This has irked me for awhile, and i just needed to vent. IF YOU SEE AN AUCTION LIKE THIS, THEN REPORT IT OR POST IT IN THE GUIDES!!! THIS IS WRONG AND IT HURTS THE HONEST EBAY SELLERS!

star trek fan collective “Q”

I Am Legend February 22nd, 2008

even if you’re not a star trek tv series fan this collection is worth seeing once… and then just sell it on … not really worth keeping.. unless you have a few kids or relatives that may be interested in seeing it.
