These are some of the things to look for on feedback. A shiller will receive feedback from alot of low feedback users and tend to not leave any.

A shiller may have over bid his/her item and relists it untill they get what they want

Some shiller use private auctions to hide that they are using a shilling id

Alot of the same bidders bidding on the same auction this is a sign,

If you see 1 to 3 new users bidding on this item it could be a sign be wary

Also some shill bidders will after 1-3 days after an auction will offer it to you as a second chance because listing it again is suspect.

You want to watch out some people like to buy from the same seller these are not shill bidders just commited buyers.

Some new id’s that are bidding on high dollar items may be legit just looking fo a gift or a hard to find item.

I just had this happen.

I made a buy for a Boxed set, listed USED of three season DVD’s of a very popular TV show. Paid a reasonable price, but a price very close to store price, with the intent of a Christmas gift. I received a recycled brown box inside were the DVD’s. Here’s the bad part. All DVD’s were in white paper sleeves, loose, and flopping around in this over sized box. One look and you an see sharpie written letters through the labels on the DVD-R, which were printed on a computer Labels. Memorex DVD’s. Placed one in PC it was titled Srink. No name. put same DVD in one year old JVC surround system and it skips and goes to digital scramble, then to black. Unhappy, contact seller. Offered refund less my shipping I wanted shipping both way. As the DVD’s are against all copyrights. The responces was. Once I receive the DVD’s back I will refund your money less any shipping. E-BAy was contacted and the matter is now in their hands. As for my money spent? I been had.
