Cobra golf clubs, irons

golfer, home June 23rd, 2008

Much better than I expected. I wish all my purchases were this good. I have now retired my old Cobra irons in favor of the new ones with graphite shafts. Never thought I would change to graphite on my irons but these are hitting the ball ten yards further tahan my old Cobras with steel shafts.
Have had a chance to sell them for a profit but I think I will keep them.
I have one problem with them. I am continually going over the greens if the flag is anywhere back of center. Can’t get accustomed to the extra distance. Mostly a broblem with the grey matter between my ears.
Also purchased a Cobra driver tahe same week. Don’t know how I can be so lucky but the shaft fits me perfectly and I have completely lost my fade. Every ball is flying straight. Had to realign myself on the T box but that hasen’t been a problem. Sure seems good to know where the ball is going. I hardly ever play in the deep grass since I started using the new Driver.
How can one guy be so lucky?

Mizuno Mp 33 Blades irons

home May 31st, 2008

I have played with the MP 33 irons for about a year now, I played with the comp ez and the ping I2 Becu cavity back irons. The mp 33 blades are much easier to hit that you might think. I bought them on e-bay for $250 with shipping and figure that I had nothing to lose if I could not hit them because I got them for a good price. The first time I went to the driving range I was impressed with how easy they were to hit and have been playing them ever since.

I play once a week and sometime two times for about 22 years. I am about a 6 handicap golfer and play in the high 70’s to low 80’s but I did have a week a couple of month ago when I hit 2 over on Monday and 3 under on Thursday, but I have to confess, I shot 10 over on Friday.

I do love the way they look in my bag and will confess that the impression that they give when you walk up to the first tee is that you are a serious golfer with baldes in your bag is a natural high to me, I will confess that.

They are not that difficult to hit and are wonderful and feel soft when hit well. I play pro-V1 balls which feel soft when struck with the mp33 and enjoy the feel of a well hit ball.

This is the only set of Mizunos I’ve ever played

At first they were difficult to hit, but with hard time on the range these have become my most consistant clubs in my bag. These are great for showing you what you are doing wrong in your swing and where you are striking the ball on the club face. Very workable for the advanced played and very useful for the average played. If you can afford time on the range get these clubs and lower your scores.

TaylorMade Burner 460 Driver

home May 31st, 2008

Very light and easy to control. Longest of the Taylormade so far. I am not particulary fond of the graphic design on top or the closed face but after awhile you get used to it. I still prefer square clubs like the Titleist but this one is easier and the price on ebay is good. Very good back up driver.

Titleist Vokey Tour Chrome Wedge Golf Club

This is the best wedge I have ever used.I had a cleveland cg10 56, but the titleist just feels and works so much better for me. There is nothing about this wedge I don’t like.I think anybody looking for a new wedge should try the Vokey first. ebbyluke
