I have been playing the Callaway VFTs for a while

Women's Clubs June 23rd, 2008

Needing to work the ball, I tried the X-tour ’06 (big dreamer), my game still does not rate that level, my current HC is 16 and my rounds go from 82 to 94. Then, I decided to try the X-18 pros (after using X-16 pro, X-18 pro and X-20 pro demos). Hitting draws and fades is not as easy as I thought, but after some hours in the driving range I managed to do it. With this irons you can easily predict were your ball is going to land. Due to an old tennis elbow injury I decided to try the Graphite Stiff shafts and it was a mistake. I played a round with a guy with similar clubs but with steel shafts, I hit every shot with my and his clubs and the difference is evident: more feeling, more control, more distance and the ball flies a little bit higher. Yea I know I was playing against the rules of the game but it was an experiment, please forgive me. I just bough off eBay some steel shafts to replace them. I would recommend these clubs if your handicap is between 20 and 10, graphite shafts, only under your doctor’s prescription. I did not notice any difference with the X-20 pros (I save at least $150 for tees, gloves and balls).

Nothing to love or like when you pay someone for something and never receive it. I was totally not impressed. I did everything that was asked on payment. Again I never received the product. I e-mail the seller but received no reply. I checked other reviews and seen where this seller has a history of fraud. I would like my money back or the product but have no received either. With service like this I will probably no longer use e-bay or paypal again. I do not appreciate being ripped off.27.JPG

I bought the product because I like brand and hope it will be a good buy. I expected an average product, but it was less than what I thought it was. Anyway, I reshafted the club and I’m beginning to like it now.21.JPG

Titleist 690 CB

Stiff Flex Clubs, Women's Clubs, electronics May 31st, 2008

I bought these clubs because of their looks but these clubs are easy to hit. I switched the shaft to a true temper regular and have found it improved ball flight for me. I was using Hogan Apex Pros but I really prefer the feel of these clubs but be careful, I had them in my trunk and they dent easily. (forged heads)15.JPG

Lo Handicapper’s Dream… Titleist 690 CB

I had been playing ping for years until i tried my buddy’s Titleist 690MB’s. I’m not as good as he is so he suggested that i take a trip up to Golftown and try out the Titleist 690CB.

These clubs are forged, with a progressive cavity back and stiff flexed. That’s it!

They’re setup perfectly for me with the std bounce and lie angle. New grips and the faces were immaculate.

At 300 bucks on ebay, i saved about 800 off the golftown price and i couldn’t be happier. I’m listing all of the other sets that i have on Ebay and couldn’t be happier with these.

These clubs give a low handicapper (7-10) a real alternative to being perfect all the time. They are forged, very playable and they setup like blades. I can’t believe that anyone buys blades anymore when these are available.

Now, the new version is the Titleist 695 CB’s and they’re uglier in my opinion. I think that those ones have larger cavities and they’re not as ‘classic’ looking (to me anyway).

You can find these all over ebay and if you dont mind them having a scuff or two, the Titleist 690CB is UNBELIEVABLE VALUE for your Ebay Dollar.

The driver I bought was a 9d loft with a stiff shaft

I am a begining golfer, so I wasnt sure about the flex. I talked with a friend of mine that I golf with and he said that at $73 for the driver (what a deal) that I could replace the shaft and still be money ahead. After I recieved the driver, I took it to the driving range and MAN was I PUMPED!! First ball off of the tee went about 275 yds straight as an arrow. I was getting about 250 max out of my old driver with a pretty bad slice. 2 buckets of range balls later, I was very satisfied. I was looking for a nice driver but didnt want to spend alot of $$ on a nice driver just to end up messing it up. At the price that I got this one, I thought I would try it. I really figured that a Callaway Big Bertha for that cheap was going to be pretty rough to say the least. When I got it, it looked brand new! I would highly suggest this driver to anyone who wants to add yards and direction to their drives.
