13 TIPS - HOW TO SAVE MONEY ON GAS!

Cars & Trucks March 9th, 2008

1) Fill up on weekdays, because prices usually rise on the weekend.

2) Find the places near you that offer the cheapest gas and shop there first.

3) Avoid gas stations near freeways, however, because prices are often higher there.

4) Carpool whenever possible, Carpoolers often share the cost of gas, and the wear and tear on your vehicle is reduced as well.
5) Change your oil, spark plugs, and air filter on schedule. And go to a repair shop if your “Check Engine?light comes on—a faulty oxygen sensor could be the cause, lowering your mileage significantly.
6) Fill up at night,or early in the morning, because pumps deliver more gas when temperatures are lower.
7) Check your tire pressure, low air pressure can make you use more gas, cause it takes more energy to roll. (usually 28-32 psi)
8) Buy your gas from a busy gas station so that your fuel is fresh, fresh fuel burns cleaner and has more power than contaminated fuel.

9) If you have a motorcycle, or moped - ride it instead of driving a car, or truck.

10) Find places near you that have the cheapest gas.

11) Avoid erratic acceleration, and sudden stops.

12) Park in the shade, so it does not take as long to cool off your car.

13) Replace air filters every 3 months or 3,000 miles.

Chrysler 2.7 engine aid

Cars & Trucks March 9th, 2008

Chrysler 2.7V6 engine: I have repaired several of these . I have not seen a sludge problem,However the oil pickup tube is to close to the oil pan . Remove the pan , remove the very bottom section of the oil pickup tube, or drill several small holes in it ( VERY Very carefully ) not to damage the screen!!! Now this poor criticized engine will get the oil it needs and run 100s of thousands. I think Chrysler should have recalled these Engines!!! That was my two cents. Phil

I bought my 2004 Intruder bike in Feb ‘05 and paid full retail for it!!!!!!!!!! We were supposed to get a super great rebate after 36 months. Guess what!…the rebate company went in default the next week after I purchased my ride. Oh well…live and learn. Anyway, the bike has been dependable. Albeit, I would rather it get just a bit better gas mileage. Even at full price, this bike was much cheaper than some of the so called “Name Branded Hogs” if you know what I mean. By the way, no offense to any of you other bikers out there. That is what makes the world go ’round anyhow. …later, mshaw55.

E Bay Motors needs better security against scammers

Cars & Trucks March 9th, 2008

I was scammed on a 2001 Suzuki Hayabusa (Chrome) that was on Ebay Motors, Another Item to good to be true, priced at a low price due to the couple splitting- up and didn’t want his wife to get anything out of the Busa. They used a Scam using a idea of a EBay Holder who you send the Money to,he was to hold the money until you get the bike and can inspect it. Only one problem ! You never get the bike, and your money is gone. The FBI told me it was one of the best so far. BEWARE of Hayabusa’s and Suzuki 1000’s for sale at low prices. EBay motors tighten it up, You need to start check-en and bring this kind of stuff to and end. Its your site start pulling some security checks of your own. Thank You

Cars & Trucks March 9th, 2008

I have several of these units and the company did supply some of the parts when prompted after 3 weeks of hassle and posting on net,,they shipped some parts. I called several times and emailed for parts,,,they told me”i call later” next day,,i call later. No return calls no nothing. Started to respond after about 2.5 weeks of posting and contacting visa. I asked “if you dont have parts as promised,,where can i get them? No reply!! Or make sure they have parts,,make em swear it in writing!!! I have dealership with company direct,,seems odd I cant get parts as a dealer!!!!! I have dealt with thomas tren or chen in california,,renfang wang,,robert wang-all of the people at odes. So far it has been 3 weeks waiting on a starter and fan motor. When (or if )my parts arrive I”ll post it here,,first called them on or about May 15th 2007,,and I emailed all of them. UPDATE: JUNE 6th-still no parts from ODES in CALIFORNIA!I also contacted sellers with them listed and nobody had parts in usa or didnt respond. I have tried all chinese parts dealers with no luck. Check california better business bureau of los angeles ,under odes motorcycle. Dont waste your money.

UPDATE: JUNE 8th-finally recieved a fan and a switch,,,not the fan and starter I needed. They did start to respond after I posted,,and sent half the right parts AFTER Visa ruled. Took 24 days-still no starter.

June 18th update-Still no starter!!

I advise for anybody buying these to WAIT and use it for 30 days before leaving feedback,,if it breaks down see if you can get parts!!! Also for atv12

check this link to see what odes told visa as far as refunding money on defective units they sent,,i replied with mechanics note of defects.
