I had a buyer bid on a pair of boots 1 month prior to filing an “unathourized transaction” chargeback with paypal. She never emailed me w/ any problems. I was completely unaware that the dispute had even been opened because I wasnt selling on eBay for a few weeks and didnt check my email.
By the time the buyer had opened the dispute 12 days had passed before I even noticed the chargeback and responded to it with plenty of proof and info. (The pkg was sent to a confirmed address and with delivery confirmation. The buyer emailed me and acknowledged that she herself did pay for the item but didnt receive it. Delivery confirmation shows her package was delivered.)
Paypal closed the case today in the buyers favor stating that I didnt provide tracking information and that I didnt respond in the required time period. Should I even bother trying to appeal this with paypal or is it officially over since I wasnt able to respond on time?
