What is a Backstamp?
In Pottery, China and Porcelain backstamps are the identifying mark or signature of the manufacture. Normally found on the bottom or underside of the piece. It may be mechanically stamped, decaled or cut (incised) into the piece.

Backstamp is from the “Drummer Boy” Year of Issue 1995, Year this piece was Manufactured, 1998
Backstamp is from the “Standing Camel”, Year of Issue 1997, Year this piece was Manufactured,1999.
The ink mark 211 is from a Lenox Line Inspector.
The Lenox Factory Artist would also sign their name.to the bottom of the figurine.
Backstamp is from the “Rooster and Hen” Year of Issue 2001, Year this piece was Manufactured, 2001.
Ink mark is from Lenox Line Inspector number 6.
Backstamp mark for the year 2004 was a 4 leaf clover, no photo available. eBay only allows 10 photos per guide.
Backstamp of “Kneeling Angel” Year of Issue 1995, Year this piece was Manufactured, 2005
The Lenox China Jewels Collections were among the last to be made in the U.S.A.
Backstamp of “Angel with Trumpet” Year of Issue 2005, Year this piece was Manufactured, 2006.
Backstamp of “Fisherman”, Year this piece was Manufactured, 2006.
Backstamp of “Perfume Seller” Year this piece was Manufactured, 2007.
Final note: Figurines that say “China Jewels” are not part of the “Jewels Collections”. To be included in these collections the backstamp must read “Lenox China Jewels Collection”
