BABY BJORN Carriers- Not all alike!
Baby Toys April 9th, 2008
If you’re in the market for a Baby Bjorn Carrier, Please be aware before spending a lot of money that not all of them are alike even though they may look alike! There are a lot of older style Bjorns that look identical to newer models, but the difference is the top locking clips that hold the top up and folded down. The older style used snaps with a safety piece of plastic that goes thru a ring. It’s a little more difficult to deal with than the newer models which have a toggle type locking clip. I’m not saying one is safer or better than the other- but I’d just not spend as much money on an older model as a newer one. The fabrics and patterns are just like the older models so unless you can see the toggle, or the snap- you just have to ask. I see buyers paying more for the old style than the newer one and wonder if they really know what they are buying.
Also unless you do a LOT of walking, or have back problems- the active model is a lot harder to put on and take off as it’s bulkier. I’ve had both styles and really preferred my original model so much more than the active model.
