Auto Parts purchase
Cars & Trucks March 9th, 2008
All used parts have to be have a clear descripton & a picture of every side. If not you must ask the seller: 1) Any rust or rot 2) Interior parts_ if they have smoke odor 3) electrical parts- have they been tested 4) make sure if they state that other years fit verify this yourself. Look at the area of where the seller is, if near the ocean or left outside many parts are going to rot and have oxzided.
New manufactured parts don’t always set in correctly. NOS(new original stock) parts are very good. They have never been used and are dealer parts that fit on. For instance on remanufactured parts ,headlights and taillights lens wont fit tightly and water leaks inside . Thus causing shorts. Chrome molding are a hard fit if they are not NOS. Make sure the part you are buying has been bought from other ers and no negative feedback about that item have been posted. I always ask somone from a dealerr that I know that is not biased and knows by experience on many parts that have had problems before.
