Artec Acoustic preamps are manufactured in Korea and are gaining popularity in the US. They are a high quality option for a lot less money than other welll known preamps such as Fishman. Available in many different models, as many as 40, there is one to fit any application. I use the ASE BL in a Martin which is a 2 way, soundhole / piezo blender. The sound is clear and I have yet to replace the battery after 3 years. Pictured is the popular AGE TN, an onboard preamp with a built in tuner.Artec also makes satandard pickups for electric guitars. I use a pair of PAF style humbuckers in my Epiphone, this was the 3rd set I tried and the last. So if you want to install an active preamp or replace the one you have in your acoustic, consider Artec.
