The Art Nouveau period (1890-1910) is an era that overlaps and is part of the Victorian period. The designs of the Art Nouveau period featured motifs of women with long flowing hair, angels and cherubs, fairies or sprites, animals (dragonflies being of particular popularity), naturalistic foliate designs, flowers and scroll work.
