Alexandrias Fragrance Lamp Instructions
Garden guide February 18th, 2008
Although fragrance lamps are gaining in popularity, this process was orginially created over 100 years ago. Fragrance lamps do not simply mask odors, they convert fragranced fuel into anions and ozone via the catalyzing stone. The ozone binds with airborne particles and aromas, thus eliminating them from your home.
Alexandria’s provides two types of fuels, scented and neutral. There are many wonderful scents you can choose from to add a soft aroma throughout your home. The unscented fuel can be used to eliminate existing odors or can be mixed with the scented fragrances to dilute them if you find the aroma too strong.
Instructions to Set Up Your Alexandria’s Lamp
1. Remove the cap and fill your lamp 2/3rds full with fragrance.
2. Insert the wick and burner into the lamp. Replace the cap and let the wick soak thoroughly for at least 20 minutes.
3. Once the wick is soaked, remove the cap and light the stone. This will produce a flame so clear all objects around the lamp before lighting and never leave the lamp unattended. The first time you light the stone it may take a few tries before a flame appears.
4. After 2 minutes of burning blow out the flame.
5. Replace the decorative shade. The lamp is functioning now and you should smell the aroma of the scent you have chosen. You will not see a mist coming from the lamp.
6. When you want to end the fragrance, simply replace the snuffer cap until you are ready for your next use.
