The product Advantix was not a new product it was and is a combination product combining the product Kill Tix (a repellent for ticks) and permethrins to repell mosquitos with the superior product for killing fleas.

I see you have researched Permethrins have you searched out the active ingredient in Frontline and seen how many deformities and health issues come about when using that product?

Advantage is still the Flea product in Advantix. The reason it is a great deal, as opposed to Frontline, is that it comes both ways. If you live with a pet that is never exposed to fleas why would you expose your animal to a Chemical to kill them? Just a gimmick huh? Bayer is a good company reputable company.

I myself have used the product for many years and have had the opportunity to use Frontline… I find the fact that the mosquitos that are repelled are not the only flying pests repelled by this Advantix permethrin….. No flies around my dogs when they lay around outside… no gnats either… I asked the company what is the best way to apply this product and they reccomend applying in multiple areas as the spreading agent to move the permethrin around is very thick and may not spread as well as the plain Advantage. I love the quick kill for fleas and the repelling of Ticks and Mosqitos BEFORE they Bite rather than after a meal of two.
